Selçuk Yaşar Alaybey Secondary School is a secondary state school established in 1993. We have approximately 750 students from grade 5 to grade 8 also there is a class of 5 handicapped students. There are 60 teachers and support staff at school. The school body is largely homogenous. There is a strong connection between the students, parents and teachers and we pride ourselves on having a family atmosphere at our school. Our vision is that "We are educating tomorrow's global citizens. "In order to achieve this, we put a strong focus on internationalization, cross-cultural communication and citizenship. All teachers and students are actively involved in the ongoing projects. We have the opportunity to improve the school climate, to acquire communication skills, to be recognized by out-of-school communities, and to have good practices. One of the most important goals of our school is to raise environmentally conscious individuals who are sensitive to environmental problems and respect the environment in which they live. Therefore, it is a priority for our school to work on raising awareness with global warming and environmental problems and to share the obtained knowledge and experiences with the students of other countries.
